A downloadable Mystery for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

This is short Demo of mechanics for my game called ‘Unlocking Mystery’.

Playing as an investigator in a mystery game, you visit the Town after getting a note from your closest friend requesting you to visit. However, when you arrive, the town's entrances have all been closed off, and it appears to be abandoned. It is time to use your investigative abilities to ascertain what occurred.

You will need to find the way out!

I would appreciate your feedback, this is just a simple Blockout level with all mechanics implemented into it. It needs a lot of work but I just want the people to test out the mechanics and comment on it. Please ignore the door of the cabin for now.

The mechanics in this are amazing, I love the computer with the camera screens and how you can interact with the lighting and the puzzle. The dialogue helps to push the narrative and help you know what to do and where to go. I also really like the environment so far and how it's low poly but still detailed, and the lighting works nicely with the level. I did come across a few collider issues with some of the assets and was also able to walk off the edge of the level, but this is overall a really great start and I'm excited to see the finished mechanics.

First of all, I really like the low poly aesthetic and how all of the assets work well together. The mechanics are by far the best part about the game, I think that being able to look through the computer is very impressive and is at a professional standard. The other mechanics are really cool too like opening and closing the barrier, pulling the lever for the light and being able to pick up the box and move it around, I was also impressed by the keypad puzzle, as it took me a few tries to get it right.

I like the dialogue mechanic too as being able to see what the main character is thinking/saying opens up a whole new avenue of ways to tell the story you created and for me was the best way to understand the situation the main character has been placed in.

However, there were a few things I noticed that need to be changed or fixed, the main one being colliders as I was able to walk through the car as well as jump through the roof of the building and land on top. Also, to me the players camera view is too low as the desk with the computer seem really tall. I also had a bit of trouble with the camera and mouse cursor themselves as when I would look around, the cursor would zoom to the other side of the screen which made it a bit difficult to open draws or select anything on the computer. I also wasn't too sure what the blue cube on the floor was and when I would pick it up, I would lose sight of it when I looked around because of the cursor.

Other than that, I think this is a great start so far as you've added some really cool mechanics to the game and the whole atmosphere is great!
